Every item from the Organic series is unique! The special glazing technique ensures that each item is different in color and texture. This gives your set table its own character. What is stoneware? Stoneware is a type of durable ceramic material often used in tableware. It is made from clay that is fired at high temperatures, typically between 1176°C and 1277°C, resulting in a dense, non-porous, and chip-resistant product. Stoneware is known for its strength and durability, making it ideal for everyday use. It often has a rustic, earthy appearance and can come in various glazes and finishes, providing both aesthetic appeal and practical functionality for plates, bowls, mugs, and other tableware items. What is reactive glaze? A reactive glaze for tableware is a special type of glaze that creates a unique, often unpredictable finish during the firing process. These glazes contain minerals and oxides that react to the high temperatures in the kiln, resulting in variations in color and texture. This process ensures that each piece of tableware has a unique appearance, even within the same set. Reactive glazes can produce beautiful, complex patterns and colors, often adding an earthy, organic aesthetic to the tableware. As a result, tableware with reactive glaze is both functional and decorative. What is inglaze? Glaze is a thin layer that is applied to porcelain material and heated at very high temperatures (1100 to 1400 Celsius). This gives the porcelain a beautiful shine and protection. Glazing makes porcelain less porous and more resistant to scratches and liquids. In inglaze quality porcelain, the paint is under the glaze and is fused with the decor at a higher temperature than onglaze porcelain, ensuring that no substances from the decor can be released.
